Ronny Hulsey

Immediately after law school, Ronny was recruited by Georgia’s top insurance defense firms, where he learned what insurance companies fear and what drives them to settle in wrongful death, personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases. That insider knowledge shapes every case he takes on behalf of injured clients. He has spent his career litigating complex workers’ compensation claims, high-stakes personal injury cases, catastrophic injury matters, and wrongful death claims in some of Georgia’s most challenging courtrooms. He understands insurance company tactics because he used to deploy them—now he knows exactly how to counter them.

Ronny is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been named to the Super Lawyers list every year since 2020. He has also been named to Georgia Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite. These honors reflect the caliber of his work and the results he delivers for his clients.

Ronny and his partner Rustin Smith have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for clients in wrongful death, personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases, which include numerous confidential seven- and eight-figure results in high-stakes matters. Additional non-confidential results include a $12.5 million vehicle collision settlement, an $11 million motor vehicle accident settlement, an $11 million commercial vehicle collision settlement, a $9.2 million commercial vehicle collision, and a record $7.6 million jury verdict in a Hall County dog-bite case. Among their most significant work is complex litigation arising from the liquid nitrogen disaster at a Gainesville poultry processing facility, where nitrogen gas was released into an enclosed employee workspace, killing multiple workers. The firm represented multiple families in the nationally recognized case. Among other significant recoveries, they secured a $3 million workers’ compensation settlement recognized as one of the top results in Georgia for workers’ compensation litigation.
